Job Description

Team/Function Overview

This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work in the Global Functions Technology (GFT) Engineering and Architecture Practice (EAP) Developer Services function.

The GFT Sector has set an ambitious goal to standardize ALM architecture globally and invest in the latest technology that improves productivity, application lifecycle management, and security.

Aligned to that is the need to deliver automation capabilities into the Secure Software Development Lifecycle that speeds the time to market for application development, whilst at the same time increasing the quality of the software produced.

As part of Application Lifecycle Automation developer services team, you will play a key role in achieving that goal.
The team works side-by-side with GFT Development Teams and Engineering in providing tooling strategy, technical support and on-boarding of new applications to strategic ALM Tools.


Key Responsibilities:

As a member of the GFT Developer Services team you will build and roll out Client key pipeline technology. This is an excellent opportunity to gain expertise in many different tools and technologies; make an impact in a large organization; and gain exposure to the GFT business and technology initiatives. We are continually looking for ways to improve processes, better integrate our systems and automate as much as possible in order to Deliver Value to our Clients.

Development Value:
The role has significant strategic value for the organization and involves the successful candidate engaging with multiple global development teams across the bank, providing regular updates to senior management and other relevant stakeholders across various projects.
The successful candidate will be expected to maintain key relationships with internal engineering and support functions across the organization, ensure that application teams are aligned to the Application Lifecycle Automation (ALA) strategy, and provide technical input when required to support the ongoing maturity of the ALA strategy.

Criteria/Qualifications
• 5 years of experience with a proven track record of delivering strategic software solutions in a global organization
• Experience of working with a global client base in a fast paced environment
• Experience of working with Engineering and Support functions in a fast paced environment

Knowledge/Experience:
• Must be a self-starter, effective listener, problem solver and team player.
• Excellent written and verbal Communication Skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence manage and articulate clearly to project stakeholders through clear project planning and status reporting
• Excellent social and organizational skills, able to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and changing priorities
• Detail oriented
• Enjoys problem solving
• Has a passion for automation
• Shows a desire to learn and self-improve
• Understanding of DevSecOps/DevOps principles
• Understanding and Experience of Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Understanding and Experience of Scum methods & Principles

Qualifications:
Degree educated preferably in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline.
