Public Relations Account Services – 2-4 Years of Experience

Wye Communications (Wyecomm), a full-service public relations and communications agency, is looking to hire a full-time account services team member with 2-4 years of experience at an agency or in-house marketing communications environment. Successful candidates are self-motivated and quick learners who harness their strategic communication and presentation skills to deliver high-quality client service. We work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and are always exploring new ways to implement fresh perspectives and ideas. This is a remote position, with opportunity to work from our Chicago office, if interested, upon our return to office.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients through creative problem solving and flawless execution
  • Driving successful media relations efforts on behalf of clients through pitching and building strong relationships with industry and business media and influencers as well as oversight of reporter list development, pitch writing and angle/storyline creation
  • Writing and editing materials, including media plans, press documents, social copy, blog posts and articles
  • Researching issues, initiatives, events, competitors and other topics to inform communications plans, media strategies and social media trends
  • Running social media campaigns (LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram)
  • Researching, vetting and selecting social influencers and supporting influencer programs
  • Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on client/industry related news
  • Managing implementation of client programs and projects from concept to execution
  • Interacting with clients at meetings, brainstorms and providing overall quality client service

We’re seeking candidates with:
  • Strong writing and editing skills and experience crafting a variety of communications materials
  • A track record of building media strategies and placing a range of top-tier, national, trade and broadcast stories
  • Familiarity with influencer relations, social media management and strategies across digital platforms
  • Experience collaborating with a dynamic team while cultivating a connected environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines in tandem
  • A positive, flexible attitude and interest in being part of a small but growing agency

Qualifications:
  • College graduate with bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Candidates should have approximately 2-4 years of relevant experience in writing, editing, research, media relations and social media
