Public Relations Account Services – 5-8 Years of Experience

Wye Communications (Wyecomm), a full-service public relations and communications agency, is looking for a full-time account services team member with 5-8 years of experience at an agency or in-house marketing communications environment. Successful candidates are self-motivated and quick learners who harness their strategic communication and presentation skills to deliver high-quality client service. We work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and are always exploring new ways to implement fresh perspectives and ideas. This is a remote position, with opportunity to work from our Chicago office, if interested, upon our return to office.

Responsibilities may include:
  • Leading client accounts and projects through sound counsel, strategic thinking, creative problem solving, idea generation and flawless execution
  • Managing client relationships and overseeing the agency account team to ensure projects are completed to client standards
  • Developing communications recommendations to help clients stay ahead of competition
  • Managing financials and development and implementation of client programs from concept to execution
  • Leading client meetings and brainstorms and providing overall quality client service
  • Setting strategy for successful media relations efforts on behalf of clients through message development and building strong relationships with industry and business media and influencers
  • Researching, writing, editing and presenting high-level materials, including messaging, communications plans, press materials, thought leadership POVs and articles
  • Developing social media programs and campaign strategy (LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram)
  • Managing or mentoring junior staff members

We’re seeking candidates with:
  • Strong writing and editing skills and experience crafting a variety of communications materials
  • A track record of building media strategies and placing a wide range of top-tier, national, trade and broadcast stories
  • Familiarity with influencer relations, social media management and strategies across digital platforms
  • Experience collaborating with a dynamic team while cultivating a connected environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience leading and managing multiple projects and deadlines in tandem
  • A positive, flexible attitude and interest in being part of a small but growing agency

Qualifications:
  • College graduate with bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, marketing or related field
  • Candidates should have approximately 5-8 years of relevant experience in writing, editing, research, media relations and social media
