Financial Analyst


Location: Chicago, IL 60603


Compiles and analyzes financial information for an organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager


SCOPE OF WORK

PMO Financial Analyst

· Validates and updates resource plans in ServiceNow (as part of resource forecasting)

· Program forecasts, accruals, & invoicing support

· Develops reporting to track project team forecast variance and report metrics to the overall IT PMO

· Supports project managers with financial reporting and analysis needs

· Creates and delivers program financial reporting

· Tracks and reports on earned value, utilization & variance analysis. Coordinates with project managers to collect required updates from each project and roll up to program level.


Skills

· Demonstrated understanding of project management and financial management practices.

· Previous experience in a financial analyst role with similar deliverables on a large, enterprise wide IT project/program, including analysis and reporting on general ledger reports

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Able to work effectively under pressure

· Ability to handle multiple, complex tasks at the same time and effectively self-manage priorities

· Strong software skills:

o Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Project)

o MS Teams and SharePoint

o Power BI (advanced)

o Experience with ServiceNow ITBM module for project financial and resource management

· Preferred –

o Experience with Hyperion financial reporting as well as OBIEE

o Experience with Ventyx Asset Suite for invoice management
