Description

Job Title: M&A Security Integration Engineer

A Mergers and Acquisitions Security Integration Engineer will, design, build, optimize and deploy systems to protect Client and its customers against all types of threats and threat adversaries. This role is seen as an expert on information and security systems. This role’s primary responsibility is to drive technical integration of Client recent acquisition of UpChain.

An M&A Security Integrations Engineer will provide hands-on support as UpChain adopts Client security frameworks, processes, policy, and tools. This role will ensure that UpChain’s assets and customer’s information assets entrusted to Client are secured. This position will have detailed knowledge of the architecture and behavior of the applications and systems which handle this data.

This role will work across many security teams including infrastructure, engineering, operations, product development, incident response, and red teaming. In addition, this position will actively collaborate and share ideas, thoughts and challenges with peers both inside and outside the company.

Primary Responsibilities:
• Drive technical security integration of UpChain.
• Work across product, cloud and business systems teams to enhance and evangelize security in cloud infrastructure and drive changes needed to respond to emerging threats.
• Research emerging technologies and maintain awareness of current security risks in support of security enhancement and development efforts.
• Lead initiatives to develop and build security utilities and tools that will enable others to operate more efficiently and securely in cloud environments.
• Design, build and deploy next generation cloud security practices to protect Client public and private cloud infrastructure.
• Design, develop and implement tools to increase detection and incident response efficiency.
• Take a risk-based approach for protection ensuring Client data remains secure while working in many different areas ranging from infrastructure, architecture, engineering, operations, incident response, and red teaming.
• Actively collaborate and share ideas, thoughts, and challenges with peers in the security industry.
• Assist with incident response and investigations.


Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) and equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in the field of security in at least three of the following areas: Infrastructure security, network security, security engineering, cloud security, secure architecture.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS and other public and private cloud infrastructure is required (including EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, and IAM).
• Experience with building and operating secure infrastructures.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking (OSI stack, TCP, etc.).
• Experience in Unix/Linux system administration
• Strong understanding of security technologies including host and network-based protection and detection technologies
• Knowledge and experience with network, host and application security practices
• Experience with Firewalls, IDS/IPS and other network security technologies
