The Finance Analyst is responsible for providing analytical and business decision support to product and/or account teams and is accountable for developing models, analyzing and leading the implementation of initiatives focused on driving sound business decisions. This role prepares accurate and timely forecasts or analysis to drive insights or help support key business decisions and is instrumental in continuous process improvement in existing operations to optimize operational excellence and financial results. It plays a critical role in the strategic and tactical direction in reducing costs, increasing efficiencies and achieving operational excellence and ensures compliance with federal, state, local regulatory mandates.

Some of the essential aspects of the Finance Analyst position include:
  • Provides in-depth analytics and critical business insights to business partners and organization by diving deep into large data sets.
  • Acts as “CFO” in support of specific product or account team.
  • Communicates critical information and analytical findings to business partners and organization leaders.
  • Participates or leads analysis or initiatives as appropriate to ensure the success of the organization.
  • Drives alignment of broader financial initiatives with respective stakeholder groups.
  • Builds models to ensure accurate and timely financial analysis.
  • Understands and communicates the financial and operational impact of opportunities and changes to pricing, discounting, cost, etc.
  • Creates informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Conducts insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time business issues.
  • Analyzes data / trends / economic indices, identify opportunity for improved growth and profitability.
  • Develops business case to support conclusion.
  • Ensures the accurate completion and distribution of necessary weekly, monthly, quarterly, ad-hoc reports.
  • Partners with diverse internal/external customer base.
What it takes to be successful:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
  • 2 years of progressive finance/accounting or equivalent quantitative analysis experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and to interact with all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex business data and to effectively communicate technical analysis to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and implement practical business solutions to improve processes.
  • Strong technical project management skills with the ability to coordinate, manage, and ensure the success of initiatives
  • Strong leadership skills with proven ability to own an initiative and drive successful results.
  • Demonstrated successful negotiation skills with the ability to influence/persuade stakeholders to build consensus across all levels of the organization.
  • Keen business acumen with the ability to interact with key members of the executive management team.
  • Understanding and communication with a diverse set of leaders and associates at various levels within various functional areas that impact the business.
  • Understanding of the needs of internal and external customers, the business, and the competitive landscape.
  • Advanced analytical/problem solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products and Oracle preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure with changing priorities and meet deadlines with quality output
  • Demonstrated critical thinking ability, strong organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Demonstrated excellence in written/verbal communication and presentation skills.
