Merchandising Intern - Fall 2021

Complete a 12-week program in a merchandising department working with a team to gain an understanding of the corporate merchandising function. Responsible for positively impacting Kroger’s business and consumers by completing challenging and meaningful projects. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

 

•  Assist merchandising group to achieve department goals and objectives

•  Complete specific internship assignments in a timely manner with the assistance of department managers

•  Communicate status updates and any potential issues to appropriate team members

•  Support merchandising department and assist with activities of assigned department(s) including, but not limited to, end-to-end assortment, financials, analysis, and overall category strategy

•  Interpret data trends and apply own knowledge to inform business decisions

•  Participate and provide feedback at team meetings

•  Complete cumulative internship project (summary of accomplishments) and present to Merchandising leadership team

•  Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation

•  Ability to prioritize and multitask while providing accurate results

•  Ability to respond to changing business priorities

•  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

•  Self-directed, ability to execute projects with minimal supervision

•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•  Proficient in Microsoft Office

•  Ability to preserve confidentiality of information

•  Accuracy and attention to detail

•  Commitment to providing customer service

•  Sophomore standing or higher at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree. Minimum 3.0 GPA

•  Any professional/internship experience in a business-related field

•  Any specialized skillsets in any of the following areas: Contract Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Merchandising or CPG experience
