Business Development Internship [Fall Internship]

Trend is a marketplace that helps hundreds of consumer brands connect with content creators and influencers.

Our platform enables consumer brands to scale and deploy hundreds of creators at a time. We are uniquely positioned to become the place where all creators monetize their creations instantly. We've gained a ton of traction in the past year with Trend and have been growing fast.

We've created a shift in how consumer brands work with digitally native content creators. What we're building has never been done before and our customers are clamoring for us to deliver more! We need ambitious minds to help us go from moving fast, to hypergrowth.

Trend has recently been named #1 highest performer in the User Generated Content industry and #1 in the Influencer Marketing industry by G2. We are now assembling the team that will help us bring our roadmap to life faster.

The Opportunity

We’re hiring motivated people to help find content creators / influencers (supply-side) and grow our network. You’ll spend the majority of your time reaching in a business development capacity reaching out to qualified creators and finding creative ways to encourage creator growth.

As a marketplace, we have two key stakeholders to provide value to and grow. We have a supply-side (content creators) who produce content for the demand-side (e-commerce brands).

Role:

  • This is a paid, part-time internship for 3 months.
  • Work with our Ops Manager on initiatives to help grow our creator side of the marketplace.
  • Sourcing creators for the Trend Network (from referrals to cold outreach).
  • Screening creators for the Trend Network.
  • Helping onboard creators if they have questions.
  • Document and report what tactics are working, not working, and doubling down on the effective tactics.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Resourceful. You love the satisfaction of figuring things out! Not afraid to use your resources, tools, and research before asking others for the answer.
  • Problem solver. You enjoy tackling customer problems efficiently and effectively.
  • Communicator. You have strong internal (direct and transparent) and external (empathetic and clear) verbal and written communication skills.
  • Quick learner. You can solve problems on the fly with minimal guidance.
  • Core Values. Adopt and incorporate Trend's core set of values in your work every day.

You will learn:

  • The dynamics of a fully functioning marketplace startup.
  • How to find new business (biz dev) for a company.
  • Cold outreach techniques.

The start date is flexible and we will prioritize individuals who are ready to start ASAP.
