Scientific Researcher Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with lab experience to join the small molecule purification group in the Discovery Chemistry. This position will perform purifications of small molecules by Reverse Phase High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (RP-HPLC), run routine purity checks using LCMS, perform equipment optimization and other daily lab tasks. The candidate requires the ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory setting using state of the art analytical and preparative equipment. This role also requires basic lab/chemical handling safety and the ability to lift 20-30 lbs. S/he will use automated liquid handling systems and robotic systems and will analyze data and report results using specialized software.

Skills

Candidates must have good theoretical knowledge of analytical chemistry, hands on experience in chromatography and other analytical techniques (mass spectrometer). Strong preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience purifying small molecules by RPHPLC, including chiral separations utilizing Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC). The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills (verbal and written), interpersonal skills, and problem-solving skills. Our lab is a fast pace environment requiring attention to details and ability to multi-task on different projects.

Education
Minimum qualifications include a B.S. or equivalent degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related field, with 0-2 years of industrial experience in purification of small molecules.
