Virtual Events Planner Intern

Summary
The Federal Robotics Process Automation Community of Practice is seeking a Virtual Events Planner Intern to promote the community by planning, hosting, and monitoring knowledge-sharing events inlcuding webinars and federal program updates in a digital capacity.

Description
The Federal RPA Community of Practice is a community within GSA’s OCFO consisting of 1200+ members from over 65 federal agencies. The mission of the RPA COP is to accelerate the adoption of RPA technology across the federal government. As such, the COP helps facilitate the emergence of more RPA programs in government and the maturation of existing RPA programs to deliver value across the federal government.

As a Virtual Events Planner with the RPA Community of Practice, you will help with planning and promoting monthly virtual events for our CoP. This will include reaching out to public and private industry organizations that are leading the way in RPA technology for informational webinar sessions to showcase their goods and services to federal agencies. The position will provide candidates with an opportunity to communicate with high level executives and master their corporate communication skills. Candidates will also help with the logistics and production of content for the webinars, handling zoom event setups from start to finish.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
-Stay informed with industry standards and share
new ideas for events with the COP team
-Schedule appropriate government/vendor
meetings for the operational aspects of
coordinating event requirements, including pre-
event meetings for the customer and specific
vendors
-Understand the policies and procedures for
community events and communicate these with
customers or speakers.
-Monitor and analyze attendance for virtual events
in Excel to identify viewership trends
-Utilize and update various communication
channels
-Communicate last minute changes and requests to
the team, confirm with the speakers and update
event order if necessary.

Basic Qualifications:
-Self-starter and detail-oriented individual with
strong communication, critical-thinking,
interpersonal and organizational skills
-Strong writing and research skills are critical
-Ability to synthesize and summarize large amounts
of information in a cohesive and timely manner
-Ability to multitask and hit numerous deadlines
simultaneously
-Proficient in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Slides,
Sheets, and Calendar)
-Familiarity and access to media production
softwares
