The Federal Robotics Process Automation Community of Practice is seeking a Corporate Communications Intern to promote the community's knowledge-sharing events, upcoming publications, federal program updates, & other relevant news to the community members, stakeholders, & high level agency officials.

Description
The Federal RPA Community of Practice is a community within GSA’s OCFO consisting of 1200+ members from over 65 federal agencies. The mission of the RPA COP is to accelerate the adoption of RPA technology across the federal government. As such, the COP helps facilitate the emergence of more RPA programs in government and the maturation of existing RPA programs to deliver value across the federal government.

As a corporate communications intern, you will have the opportunity to work directly with the Director of the RPA COP and the Acting Deputy Chief Financial Officer to plan, organize, and draft government-wide communications (including newsletters, executive communications, news and updates, and other communications) for the federal RPA Community of Practice, its stakeholders, and high level agency officials. Interns will be responsible for coherently communicating RPA program progress within federal programs across the government. Our communications are a representation of the federal government’s RPA progress as a whole and we pride ourselves on publishing accurate and timely communications to grow our membership. Interns will be expected to uphold these same standards and will develop a valuable skill set while doing so.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Actively listen and take notes during meetings and summarize relevant discussion topics in high-quality, client-facing form
- Engage with the RPA COP team (including private sector consultants) and generate new, innovative communication materials
- Draft, review and edit marketing content and written publications
- Utilize and update various communication channels
- Conduct market research and synthesize findings to update and revise past blog posts

Basic Qualifications:
- Self-starter and detail-oriented individual with strong communication, critical-thinking, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Strong writing and research skills are critical
- Ability to synthesize and summarize large amounts of information in a cohesive and timely manner
- Ability to multitask and hit numerous deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient in Google Suite (Drive, Docs, Slides, and Sheets)
- Familiarity and access to media production softwares
