Cedar Point Health is looking for a full-time Physical Therapist at our Wellness Center located in beautiful Montrose, CO.
Cedar Point Health is a physician-owned company with a dedication to healthcare on the western slope of Colorado. Three urgent care sites, three family practice locations, one internal medicine office, and our PT wellness center support our patients.
Job Title: Physical Therapist
Reports To: Site Supervisor
Summary:
The primary function of the Physical Therapist is to perform and analyze tests and measurements of disabilities resulting from disease, injury; to plan, implement and modify treatment programs; to direct and supervise physical therapy services; to participate in discharge planning; to pursue professional growth; assist with educational duties and perform administrative and other duties as required. Must comply with all aspects of the Colorado Physical Therapy Act in providing physical therapy services.
Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates clinical expertise in the principles and practice of physical therapy, including evaluation of patients, development of plan of care, treatment plan, and knowledge of discharge criteria.
  • Perform and document initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.
  • Develop plans describing a treatment strategy, its purpose, and its anticipated outcome. Plan often includes exercise regimens at the clinic and at home to increase flexibility, strength, or endurance.
  • Demonstrates knowledge in current treatment modalities and procedures and their safe usage.
  • Responsible for professional conduct, ethical practice and professional growth and development.
  • Provide information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
  • Help to restore physical function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent permanent disability.
  • Determine patients’ ability to be independent and reintegrate into the workplace or community after injury or illness.
  • Responsible for other duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school
  • Current valid state Physical Therapies licensure
  • Current BLS certification
4. Ability to work effectively as a team member with physicians, providers, and other staff
5. Ability to assist in a variety of common physical therapy
6. Ability to maintain thorough patient notes and suggest recommendations
7. Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures
8. Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergency situations.
9. Ability to stand for extended periods of time
10. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 - 30 pounds
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
Experience: The preferred individual has at least one year of physical therapy experience
Mental and Physical Requirements: Varied activities including standing, walking, reaching, bending and lifting. This position requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Must be able to use a variety of office equipment. May require working under stressful conditions.
Job Types: Full-time, Temporary
Pay: $34.00 - $41.00 per hour
