Deputy City Attorney - DOJ
The Portland City Attorney’s office is seeking two attorneys to represent the City of Portland in its settlement agreement with the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) for police reforms.
Litigation DOJ Attorney: This person will serve as the litigation lead for the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) settlement agreement, which includes litigation and advice work. Advice work for the settlement agreement includes policy drafting and editing, providing compliance reports and training, and advocacy and collaboration in meetings with the DOJ, as well as with other interested parties and stakeholders
Council Liaison Attorney: This person will serve as the liaison for Council members on matters related to the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) settlement agreement. They will meet regularly with Council to ensure they are briefed on issues related to the settlement agreement and consolidate feedback on each Council member’s perspectives.
