Unpaid Internship for Video Editing and Production
My Mission:
I create online yoga videos for YouTube and online memberships.
My videos help people to balance their lives physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
My goal is to help people feel good about themselves and explore the power of the mind/body connection.
Why Intern with me?

- gain proficiency with your video editing skills,
- work on updating a website with WordPress,
- increase your knowledge of marketing skills required to run a small business.
- Part of your work is watching a lot of yoga videos that will help you learn more about yoga and a positive lifestyle philosophy.
- You can practice with the yoga videos later, ask me any questions you want about yoga, and even have a few private yoga sessions with me if you want.
- You will have the opportunity to work with me developing strategies to grow my email list, send out engaging newsletters, create landing pages that effectively get people to sign up and or join a membership, work with an entrepreneur who is still learning and navigating the steps that it takes to run a successful online business.
- You will be helping me to help others live a healthy and balanced life.
- You might be able to use this to fulfill your internship requirements while learning about a healthy lifestyle and how to practice yoga no matter what your experience level is.
Requirements:
- Proficiency with video editing software.
I use DaVinci Resolve which has a free version.
If you use Premiere Pro that can work although you might want to consider learning DaVinci Resolve which might not be that difficult to learn if you work with Premiere.
- See video for an idea of switching to Resolve from Premiere.
- You will be working with me to help edit yoga videos that are basically from one clip.
- A b-roll may eventually be added.
- You should be proficient with creating zooming and panning effects, editing out parts where I am adjusting my clothes or something that looks like it should not be in the video.
- Know how to set audio levels and eliminate any mic noise.
- Add intros
- Attention to detail is important.
- Willingness to research solutions if necessary. For example I would like to learn how to use my Panasonic GH5 with Zoom to create a higher quality video with Zoom and at the same time create a video file to be edited for YouTube or my membership site.
- Marketing skills using an email program such as MailChimp and helping me to set up automated emails, landing pages and create desirable offerings.
- Creative problem solver with strong technical skills and an appetite to learn and do high quality work.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- You would only be required to work 10 - 15 hours a week. This will depend on your editing skills and time and schedule can be flexible especially with high productivity.
- This is an unpaid position with the possibility of some freelance contract work in the future. This is a remote internship although if you live close to Asheville, NC we could meet in person sometimes.
