Behavioral Health Therapist
First Resources of Ottumwa and Oskaloosa is growing and we are searching for dedicated Full-time Behavioral Health Therapist.
Interested person must be a licensed LMSW, LISW or LMHC.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide sessions to clients as an individual, family, couple and/or group therapy.
- The candidate selected should be able to complete all paperwork within established time frames and maintain required caseload of billable units
- Communicate regularly with the Clinical Director
- Provide Substance Abuse assessments and treatment
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and/or trainings
- The candidate selected for this position will also understand the importance of strict confidentiality and ethical practices and will comply with all of First Resources Corps policies and procedures.
- The ideal candidate would provide services that offers tools and support to clients so they can create a supportive environment at home and in the community.
- Ability to travel at least 25% of the time and to work occasional evenings and weekends for meetings and/or events.
- Ability to be flexible as the job may require late working hours outside of the normal business hours
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Psychology or Human Services or a related field from an accredited four year college preferred.
- Minimum of two years experience in provision of therapy.
- Licensure as a LMSW, LISW or LMHC
- Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance.
- Satisfactory results on background check pertaining to criminal and abuse registries including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and the criminal history check.
