Residential Care Facility (RCF) Supervisor

First Resources Corp. of Keosauqua is growing and we are searching for dedicated and energetic Full-time Residential Care Facility (RCF) Supervisor.

As a Residential Care Facility (RCF) Supervisor, you will be Responsible for developing and monitoring services for each Individual by collaborating with community resources to assist individual's with stabilization and successful discharge. Responsible for assisting with the coordination, and implementation, of crisis/transition services and programs. Must communicate and supervise staff effectively and be able to work a flexible schedule; evenings, week-ends, etc. as needed

Essential Job Functions:
  • Supervise, train and/or assist staff with identifying innovative ways to teach individuals with disabilities skills that include, but are not limited to, recreation and leisure scheduling, clothing and laundry, social interaction, home living, money management, personal hygiene, planning and preparing balanced nutritious meals, grocery shopping, and transportation.
  • Schedule medical/mental health appointments for respective individuals, and coordinate transportation as needed.
  • Responsible for the coordination and development of the Person Center Service Plan (PCSP), for individuals which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Development of goals and objectives
  • Time frame for completion of goals and objectives
  • Scheduling and chairing Interdisciplinary Team meetings
  • Generate detailed reports of individual needs, progress, changes, etc., in accordance with Person's Center Service Plan, to direct supervisor.
  • Oversee the day-to-day residential services provided and report to immediate supervisor, at least weekly.
  • Actively participates in/initiates communication with all internal/external parties so services for individuals are not interrupted due to lack of proper coordination.
  • Collaboratively develop monthly staff schedules, ensuring adequate client/staff ratios are maintained and approved units are maximized.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff; providing support and facilitating training as needed. Collaborate with supervisor for all disciplinary actions/performance improvement needs.
  • Act as a liaison with parents, guardians, volunteers, and other contacts.
  • Document the progress of Person Center Service Plan (PCSP), goals as outlined.
  • Provide direct support to individuals receiving hourly services as needed. Following all guidelines in Direct Support Professional job description. Including personal cares when needed.
  • Responsible for running pre-bill reports on a weekly basis and rectifying any errors through communication and coaching with staff members and the accounting department.
  • Ensure that all "Service by Staff" reports in Vision Works (Electronic Health Record) are accurate through comparison to staff time sheets in the payroll system, prior to approval.
  • Supervise and evaluate staff; providing support and facilitating training as needed. Collaborate with supervisor for all disciplinary actions/performance improvement needs.
  • Responsible for ensuring documentation requirements of staff, related to individual service, are adhered to, and completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that only non-aversive behavior management techniques are used as outlined in the behavior plans and report all incidents of suspected Individual's rights violations.
  • Participate in the organization's safety program.
  • Responsible for filling vacant shifts in a financially responsible way; working shifts as needed to minimize overtime.
  • Performs other related duties as required to accomplish the objectives of the position, as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least two (2) years experience working with people with disabilities preferred
  • 2 years supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience in mental health services provision is essential.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record and show proof of auto insurance.
  • Satisfactory results on background check.
