General Summary:
Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Database Administrator (DBA) in our Information Services department at our Maple Grove, MN location. The DBA is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of existing or new databases, data management technologies and infrastructure in order to meet current and future business needs.

 Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
·Provide physical administration and support of databases and data management solutions and supporting technologies to ensure business and security needs are met.
·Provide technical support for databases, data management solutions, and supporting infrastructure to ensure operational excellence.
·Provide planning and design of databases, data management solutions, integrations, and architecture for new systems or enhancements to support business strategy.
·Perform analysis and assessment in regard to database performance; recommend and implement tuning improvements.
·Apply capacity planning, disaster recovery, database backup, continuous monitoring, and improvement techniques to provide 24x7 operation of enterprise DBMS.
·Performs research and analysis of database, data warehouse, and business intelligence architectures and solutions to meet current and future business requirements.

Required Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field and 9+ years’ experience supporting systems, applications and databases OR 2+ years of post high school education in a technology related field and 11+ years of experience building and supporting systems, applications, and/or databases.
·Experience working with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
·Experience working with Oracle Data Guard, OEM tuning, and RMAN.
·Experience working with SQL Server backup and recovery, log shipping, and performance tuning.
·Experience with database programming using PL/SQL and Transact-SQL.
·Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows operating systems is required.
·Experience with Linux/UNIX and Windows scripting languages and shells.
·Understanding of database and hardware environments.
·Knowledge of and demonstrated skill in database administration, maintaining high availability systems, database backup and recovery.
·Skill in analyzing data problems; ability to identify hardware and software problems.
·Skill in identifying and resolving root causes of database problems/issues; ability to develop recommendations for short-term resolution.
·Skill in verbal and written technical communications of database issues to non-technical staff within IT and the company.
·Ability to transfer technical knowledge to peers and staff members.
·Ability to enable business improvements with information technology.
·Skill in presenting ideas and solutions to groups at all levels in the organization.
·Ability to be flexible/adaptable and self-driven.
·Ability to work in and contribute to cross-functional teams.
·Skill in establishing service level expectations with customers.
·Ability to prioritize multiple demands based on business impact.

Preferred Qualifications:
·Experience working with cloud-based data management platforms.
·Knowledge of database and system clustering technologies.
·Knowledge in data modeling and design.
·Knowledge of data management functions and tools.
·Experience developing ETL data integrations.
