Licensed Therapist/Counselor

PRO Medical’s Counseling Center is looking for a Counselor to join their team! As a counselor at PRO Medical, you will be surrounded with a supportive team of like-minded caring individuals who are focused on positive outcomes and committed to their own personal health and fitness. Each private office is elegantly decorated, cozy, and features natural light and fireplace. As a counselor at PRO Medical, you will facilitate personal and interpersonal functioning with a focus on emotional, social, vocational, educational, health-related, developmental, and organizational concerns. You will work with individuals and groups to promote optimum mental and physical health. This includes helping individuals deal with addictions and substance abuse; family, parenting, and marital problems; suicidal behavior; stress management; problems with self-esteem; and issues associated with aging and mental and general emotional health. You will also provide counseling for clients participating in the physician guided weight management programs at PRO Club, employee wellness, and work in alliance with other health care providers for comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Group and individual counseling
  • Consulting with third parties
  • Work with Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) and other work involving counseling or education
  • Develop programs, serve on committees and interdepartmental committees
  • Attend weekly Grand Rounds for 20/20 LifeStyles as required
  • Prepare written reports and evaluations as required.
  • Keep records including billing documents and medical records and submit paperwork as required
  • Ensure that all client records will be in Washington State approved format
  • Prepare presentations and lectures as required
  • Prepare and submit marketing materials and site content material as required
  • Exercise professional judgment in accordance with all ethical and legal mandates for counselors and psychologists (including mandates of the American Psychological Association and federal and state laws)
  • Practice as a counselor and discharge their duties in rendering counseling services in accordance with current standards governing their profession and the rules, regulations, and standards of the PRO Sports Club

Qualifications:
  • Graduate degree from a regionally accredited, traditional (in residence and using conventional grade point average) graduate program in the social sciences.
  • Must have current Washington State license to practice independent counseling services.
  • Must be current on state mandated, approved continuing education.
