SQL Database Programmer
Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services (IVRS) is recruiting to fill our vacant SQL Database Programmer position. This position provides for the flexibility to work from home, but may require occasional travel to the central office in Des Moines, Iowa, for meetings and other work-related obligations.
We are looking for someone who has the SQL database knowledge and skills to perform highly specialized and complex duties within our case management and financial service system. The candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field in addition to relevant work experience. The candidate must also have a minimum of 2 years professional experience for each of the following:
- Database programming; developing business application processes; writing complex T-SQL queries against SQL Server database
- Developing web-based applications using MS SQL toolsets, working in conjunction with the business application process staff to design specific database applications
- Developing and enforcing data definition standards to ensure data can be used across work units
- Designing and developing ETL routines using T-SQL & SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Developing data visualizations (Reports, Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Execution Plans, Team Foundation Server (TFS), SDLC, Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS), Visual Studio)
