Computer/Laptop Technician - will train!

The University Surplus is seeking student computer technicians. Duties will include: managing the Surplus Laptop area, fixing and setting up laptops to sell. These technician will be working with laptops, both PC and Mac, removing good parts, or setting up to sell to public or on eBay, along with other duties as assigned. Organizing computers and parts and helping sell them on sale days.
Free, on-site parking.

We currently have multiple positions available in University Surplus. Must be available Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00am and 3:30pm; (prefer 4-hour blocks of time). Must also be available to work occasional Saturdays. Hours will be flexible to accommodate a 20 hour work week (more in the summer).

Must be University of Iowa student. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check. Experience working with PC’s and Mac’s, installing software, RAM, hard drives, video cards and some general knowledge of repairing PC and Mac machines. eBay selling experience a plus.
