Indigent Defense Inprovement Division-Supervising Attorney (Training Programs)

The Indigent Defense Improvement Division (IDID) of the Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) is seeking a highly energetic and dedicated leader who can partner with stakeholders to develop impactful programs and services that result in systemic changes to improve indigent defense services in California.

By legislative mandate, the IDID of the Office of the State Public Defender provides assistance and training to county based indigent defense systems and engages in related efforts for the purpose of improving the quality of indigent defense across the state.

In partnership with the Executive Director of the IDID and the State Public Defender, the Supervising Attorney (Training) supervises line attorneys while developing and overseeing a unit that focuses on providing excellent and actionable training programs and practice tools to indigent defense providers across the State.
