Business Systems Data Analyst

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate for this position will possess a skillset that drives improvements in data, experience and integrations (the 3 pillars of our enterprise architecture methodology) through crucial thinking and sophisticated testing and will demonstrate an ability to understand both business and technical perspectives. To thrive in this role, you must have experience pulling data from systems, building business reports, analyzing the data, and presenting findings to stakeholders.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Gather business requirements, documenting workflows or procedures, and collaborate with information technology for evaluation of solution designs
  • Act as a liaison to interpret business requirements, analyze user needs and work with the team and the architects to design solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of Mueller data systems such as JDE ERP, Salesforce, Data Warehouse etc and help resolve the democratization of data to business users
  • Evaluate and propose solutions and assist in the implementation of changes to workflows or processes and application enhancements to meet business needs
  • Provide support, investigation, and troubleshooting for data related issues across multiple business systems
  • Conduct in-depth data mapping and data analysis to support Muellers integration strategies and delivery of accurate data to business users
  • Systems integration and implementation experience is required.
  • Strong issue resolution skills, with the ability to assess needs and manage expectations.
  • Participate in business functional group meetings on a regular basis to understand business needs and challenges, and facilitate improvements
  • Create process/system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts as required for clearly communicating business requirements
  • Write functional specifications and closely work with application development and business intelligence teams

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in business systems analysis
  • Experience in integration or data warehouse solutions a plus
  • Knowledge and skills in data governance and master data management is useful
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • Enjoys working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Preferred

  • Data warehouse and/or integration platform experience is a plus
  • Oracle JDE Enterprise One experience or other ERP is welcomed
