Risk Compliance Associate

Job Summary
In this role, the Risk Compliance Associate will perform qualitative and quantitative data analyses to support CAI's client businesses both internally and externally. The Risk Compliance team members will work under the supervision of a Senior Risk Compliance team lead. This position allows for individuals to gain hands on knowledge of industry best practices while supporting the client's project release schedules.

Duties & Responsibilities
·      Assist state and local government entities to manage small and large-scale project in areas such as assessing compliance with federal/state regulations or with internal protocols; developing policies and procedures and recommending methods to implement new business practices; preventing fraud, waste, and abuse; increasing program integrity; identifying leading practices for increasing federal revenue; and assessing high-risk areas and recommending next steps for mitigation
·      Maintain awareness of relevant marketplace issues and emerging state and local government regulations and guidelines, and assist with the development and implementation of new compliance protocols as new regulations emerge and laws change
·      Collect information and data through effective client interviews, system queries, and internal/external research
·      Complete qualitative and quantitative data analyses leveraging a variety of tools and methods; compile information verbally, visually, and in writing to translate to client needs; and provide recommendations
·      Assist in special projects, including strategic growth initiatives, business development, thought leadership creation, training development and delivery, and engagement and practice administration activities
Experience Required
Education
Bachelor's degree in Health Administration, Public Administration, Health and Human Services or related program.
In lieu of a degree, candidates who possess a combination of one of the following certificates along with 1 year of relevant experience are also eligible.
Certificates:
·      Registered Health Information Administrator
·      Registered Health Information Technician
·      Certified Coding Specialist
·      Chartered Financial Analyst
Relevant Experiences:
·      Local or state government
·      Health and Human Services
·      Board of Education
·      Non-commercial Experience


Skills Required
·      Understanding of state and local government; associated laws, rules, and regulations; and the fields of regulatory and compliance risk management, compliance, internal audit, and/or legal preferred
·      Strong technical aptitude, demonstrated quality service mindset, critical thinking and research skills, ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Aris, with a general understanding of data analysis techniques
·      Excellent communication, time management, and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; and resourceful in delivering high quality work
·      Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client premises up to 20%, at times with a weeks notice (travel tends to be within a commutable range)

  • Ability to self-disclose that you have a diagnosis or can attest to known affects within the Autism Spectrum (ASD)
  • Attend a pre-employment workplace training or preparation session as part of the role qualification. [Either Virtual or on-site – to be specified based on location, client, and environment]

·      Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
·      Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard and monitor
