Risk Advisory Associate - Start June 2022
We are currently seeking a talented, enthusiastic individual to join our Risk Advisory team. If you are looking for a great start to your career in information security and risk management, this position is for you! The Risk Advisory Associate is responsible for assisting our team by performing IT control testing for SOC 2 examinations and contributing to other IT risk and cybersecurity consulting engagements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with SOC 2 engagements in accordance with AICPA requirements
- Prepare, execute, and document testing procedures and outcomes
- Identify control issues, process inefficiencies and/or operational risks and recommend appropriate solutions
- Complete other duties, tasks, and/or special projects as assigned
- Demonstrate exceptional client service
- Learn and develop competency with necessary software
- Learn and develop competency of technical skills, work quality, and the application of professional and Firm standards
- Follow all regulations and ethical standards set forth by the Firm and other governing bodies
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 0-2 years of related experience
- Minimum 3.0 GPA and a solid track record of academic achievements
- Interest in pursuing a career in the area of IT risk and cybersecurity
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software systems effectively and quickly
- Ability to apply learned concepts, processes and information quickly
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Ability to reason intelligently and use sound judgment
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal capacities
