Work Hours: Full Time – 80 hours biweekly (This is a 24 hour operation that requires a shift rotation among 3 supervisors that includes some holidays and afternoon, evening and weekend coverage).
Starting Salary: $28.75 an hour + 25% shift differential

Requirements (Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification):
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, Special Education, Therapeutic Recreation, Sociology, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or other closely related field (i.e. those fields that involve the provision of direct services and the assumption of case responsibility, with training in social work, psychology, psychiatric nursing, psychiatry, mental health counseling, rehabilitation counseling, pastoral counseling, and/or marriage and family therapy, etc.) from an accredited college or university; AND
- Three (3) years of related direct service and administrative experience.
ESSENTIAL JOB FACTORS: Must undergo a background via the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation (BCI).

Job Duties (Summary):
- This is a supervisory position requiring independent judgement and responsibility for directing subordinates, assigning duties to subordinates, disciplining subordinates when necessary and making recommendations on hiring, suspending, terminating and rewarding employees. This position shares responsibility for the function of the daytime 241- KIDS unit. This includes sharing supervision of the same staff. Supervises Children’s Services workers assigned to the After-Hour Unit as well as day staff when required. Assists the on-duty workers in both routine and emergency situations. Provides consultation and assistance on all placement cases at night or whenever needed. Responsible for direct supervision of staff which includes planning for orientation and on-going training. Instructs workers in child welfare practices as well as adult protective capacities and availability of in-house and community services. Sets up work schedules, reviews follow-up procedures, coordinates referrals from unit to proper agency personnel, evaluates worker’s job performance. Answers 241- KIDS and 421- LIFE lines and responds appropriately to caller. Writes and prioritizes reports of abuse, neglect, dependency, adult exploitation; makes referrals as necessary; etc.
- Formulates and implements a comprehensive after-hours emergency services program which is a component of a broader program of intake services for families and children. Coordinates unit activities with those of other services units, including Investigations. Provides coverage in the absence of other 241-KIDS supervisors (Day or After-Hours).
- Participates in conferences, seminars, meetings with other agency personnel, police, courts and hospital staffs. Maintains various records and files reports.
- Attends necessary training as required.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
