Marketing & Operations Spring Internship

The Spring Marketing & Operations Intern will have several duties in all areas of our company. Interns will have real experience in the running of our camps, tournaments, shootouts, exposure events, and all other areas of our company. The position will go from roughly January to April/May based in our office in Schaumburg, IL. Flexible on dates and hours needed to fulfill college credit and class schedule.

Hoop Mountain has been running premier basketball events since 1985 that operates events across the nation as well as internationally. Over 40 of our alumni have gone on to play in the NBA as well as thousands at the college level.

Job Duties:

-Assist in planning, operations, and running of our basketball events 

-Create and implement your own promotional and marketing ideas

-Help manage existing relationships with Hoop Mountain partners 

-Assist with camp and showcase player recruitment 

-Design ideas for the creation of new events

-Update and maintain social media accounts

Required Skills:

-Have housing in the Schaumburg, IL area

-College student or recent graduate

-Strong work ethic, enthusiastic, and self motivated 

-Ability to work apart of a team and as an individual 

Preferred Skills:

-Marketing experience

-Strong communication and writing skills

-Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

-Previous work experience in the sports industry

-Business, marketing, sports management major or related field

-Doing the internship for college credit

The intern will assist in all areas of our company, assisting in running of our basketball camps, tournaments, and exposure events. Great chance to break into the sports industry and gain real first hand experience.

The internship is unpaid, however interns will be paid for working our tournaments, showcases, and other events.
