The Dallas Morning News summer 2022 internships
To be considered, you must apply through our external jobs website, which has descriptions of each position.
The Dallas Morning News offers internships in local news, business, features, editorial, audience, sports, photography, copy editing and digital design/data.
Internships are also available in our Washington bureau and with our Spanish-language publication, Al Día. Applicants for Al Día must be fluent in speaking and writing Spanish.
All interns will also be expected to write features, take smartphone photos and video, and actively use social media in the newsgathering process.
Interns will be assigned to a specific department, but some could be asked to cover a narrowly focused beat at the forefront of experiments to grow our digital audience.
Applicants should send no more than eight published clips or links. Clips may be reduced, but must be legible, or the application will be rejected.
The clips or links should focus on the specific position the applicant desires, but materials showing a variety of reporting and writing ability are acceptable.
A cover letter and résumé with references are required with all applications. Applicants should not expect an explanation of why they were not selected.
