Order Processing Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Order Processing Specialist is primarily responsible for processing all types of sales orders, preparing auto renewal invoices, and maintaining and reporting accurate transactional information and other financial data for use in accounting records.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of sales orders received through all channels
  • Responsible for accurate and efficient processing of reseller maintenance data as received from resellers
  • Ensure all internal processes are followed, including but not limited to, export control, order processing checklists, proper documentation for all transactions is attached to the order, etc.
  • Ensure quality of data in all Company systems related to your transactional responsibilities (Customer account, maintenance, product and relationships)
  • Ensure accurate files and record keeping on behalf of the Finance and Accounting department as it relates to sales order transactions
  • Participate in and ensure timely monthly/quarterly/yearly close
  • Responsible for maintaining and updating process / procedure documentation related to areas of responsibility and Company internal controls as needed
  • Responsible for implementing changes in procedures as business practices and product offerings evolve
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Perform backup duties as defined and needed
  • Other duties in Accounting and Finance Department as assigned
            
REQUIREMENTS
  • Associate of Arts Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Strong system skills with accounting software packages (NetSuite experience a plus, but not required)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (primarily Excel)
  • Strong work ethic, ability to put in the extra hours during peak times (especially end of quarters) and extra hours needed for special projects
  • Understands and embraces change
  • Works effectively in fast -paced and rapidly evolving corporate environment
  • Reliable in-office attendance is required
