Psychologist, Behavioral Health

•Monday through Friday variable schedule 8am-8pm 
Essential duties and Responsibilities
•Investigates case situations and presents information to Psychiatrist and other members of health team, on patient's family and social background pertinent to diagnosis and treatment.
•Helps patients to respond constructively to treatment and assist in adjustment leading to and following discharge.
•Serves as link between patient, psychiatric agency, and community.
•Works directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with Psychiatrist.
•Refers patient or patient's family to other community resources.
•Delivers behavioral health care in accordance with patient evaluation, treatment plan and within the scope of their license. Provides crisis assessment and intervention.
•Maintains pertinent patient data in medical record in accordance with state, JCAHO and Mercy Health System guidelines.
•Offers in-service education programs and functions as a resource to other staff and the community as needed.
•Participates in development and selection of patient education materials and services.
•Participates in performance improvement activities.
Education and Experience
Doctorate in Psychology required. 
Certifications/Licensure
Holds and maintains Psychologist license in the state of practice.
Eligible for Medical Assistance and Medicare Provider certification.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
