Staff Accountant

We have an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Staff Accountant who would work closely with the Accounting Team assisting in day-to-day responsibilities. The Staff Accountant will be a key member of the accounting team supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. The successful candidates will have strong analytical, verbal, written, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Possess a proactive, positive attitude and be comfortable working in a fast paced, growth-oriented environment.
 
The responsibilities for this position also include:
·        Assist with month-end close procedures.
·        Ensure accurate documentation is maintained and all transactions, and recorded in a timely manner.
·        Analyze financial data and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
·        Prepare daily and monthly reports as needed.
·        Assist in the audit process and partner with outside auditors by providing assistance with quarter and year-end audit preparation and analysis.
·        Support daily accounting functions including recording commissions, inventory activity, intercompany activity, payroll postings, etc.
·        Implement process and system improvements, with guidance from the Accounting Team.
·        Assist in evaluating, recommending, maintaining and monitoring appropriate internal controls and procedures.
·        Support management with financial information necessary to make sound policy decisions.
 
Required Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
·        Up to 3 years of experience Accounting and/or Finance
·        Intermediate MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience
·        Strong working knowledge of GAAP
·        Utilize accounting knowledge to effectively collaborate with varying levels of employees and senior management.
·        Possess a strong initiative to search for and implement process improvements and efficiencies.
·        Ability to act as a change agent and have experience in improving processes.
·        High attention to detail and ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.
·        Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with other departments throughout the company.
·        Ability to work independently and as part of a team to foster a collaborative environment.
