ABOUT HALLMARK’S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
We need sharp, energetic people to help us create, engineer, market, and deliver our products worldwide. Challenging summer internship opportunities are available for candidates pursuing degrees in areas such as Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Communications, Engineering, Human Resources, Psychology, Statistics, Physics, Data Science, and Computer Science.
Hallmark’s internship program (typically late May through early August) provides the valuable opportunity to apply your classroom knowledge to meaningful projects in a corporate environment. You not only work on meaningful projects tied to Hallmark business objectives, but you will also gain exposure to Hallmark leadership, learn more about products and initiatives, visit with employees and interns from other disciplines, and enjoy what life is like in Kansas City. AN OVERVIEW
At Hallmark, our IT interns take on real business challenges primarily within our Hallmark Technology organization and sometimes our Omni-channel (Hallmark.com) division. Our interns work on assignments similar to a new full-time IT analyst. Initial work assignments for you could include:
- Learning assigned applications.
- Applying technical knowledge to solve problems in a specific business area.
- Working with business partners to define solutions.
- Working with consultants, contractors, and on-shore/off-shore resources in accomplishing desired outcomes.
- Performing analysis.
- Assuming responsibility for design, programming, and implementation on assigned systems.
- Ensuring all solutions align to security standards and protocols.
In addition, our interns will work with many technologies including Java, JavaScript, HTML, PERL, Visual Basic, C/C++, .net, Python, JSON, R, COBOL, CICS, DB2, Teradata, Datastage, SAP, PTC, mobile applications, and JDA systems.
During the course of your summer, you will get exposed to all of the different parts of our Hallmark Technology division and the various ways that people have created challenging and rewarding IT careers here at Hallmark. We are looking for energetic problem solvers with strong leadership skills who are eager to make an impact.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
The following is required to be considered for this role:
- Currently pursuing a degree with a graduation date of December 2022, May 2023, December 2023, or May 2024.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Your resume and application will stand out if you have:
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- GPA of 3.0 or higher (GPA must be stated on your resume).
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- High learning agility and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage ambiguity.
- Previous internship experience or exposure to corporate or technological work.
Additional Details
All internships will be at the Hallmark Headquarters or outlying facilities in or near the Kansas City, Missouri metropolitan area. This internship will occur summer of 2022 (typically late May through early August) and may occur virtually. The intern program at Hallmark is the primary source for entry-level full-time hires either directly after graduation or for future pipeline. Full-time hiring decisions are based on performance and business need.
