Who We Are 
The Equitable Advisors Investment Sales Desk plays an essential role within the Broker Dealer/Corporate RIA front office. Investment Product Sales Specialists operate as hybrid wholesalers within an assigned territory supporting Financial Professionals’ sales process and investment practice management throughout Equitable’s retail distribution system.
What We Do
The Sales Desk Specialists are the firm’s subject matter experts on the expansive product universe of Equitable Advisors Broker Dealer/Corporate RIA investment platform and the investment sales process. Support will also include training, product knowledge, and investment research, promoting sales concepts, and consulting on sales opportunities.
This role provides sales support in the form of outbound calls within an assigned territory, branch visits, in-person and virtual presentations, and answering incoming inquiries working exclusively with the Equitable Advisors field force. Specialists are responsible to cultivate productive working relationships as a dedicated headquarters resource for Financial Professionals in their territory.
The platform includes advisory and managed portfolio programs, mutual funds, equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and brokerage.

Qualifications

 

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 4+ years investment industry experience
  • FINRA Licenses Series 7, 63, 65 or 66
  • Demonstrated sales, customer service and presentation skills in large and small group settings
  • Managed account, mutual fund, or brokerage experience
  • The ability to manage multiple activities and priorities simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with investment products, Financial Professionals, or end-clients, wrap or investment advisory programs
  • Problem resolution skills required and must be motivated, sales-oriented, and persistent
  • Proven writing and verbal communications skills
  • Established experience working with Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
  • Morningstar Advisor Workstation experience strongly preferred
  • Progress towards or desire to pursue advanced industry designations
