Software Developer, IT Engineer, Security Analyst Internship

As an Information Technology Services (ITS) intern at COUNTRY Financial, you will work as a software developer, engineer or security analyst in one of our corporate offices located in Bloomington, IL; Minneapolis, MN; or Alpharetta, GA. 
 
Interns will work with a project team, intern mentor and information technology management to gain valuable experience, and develop leadership, technical, analytical, communication and teamwork skills through challenging work assignments.
 
To be eligible for an internship at COUNTRY Financial, you must be pursuing a degree for the duration of the internship and you must be able to work full-time hours from late May to early August 2021. The internship may be extended part-time into the fall semester; depending on the availability of the student, the needs of the company, and strong work performance.

IT Engineer

Responsibilities
  •  Engineers could be placed in Security, Networking, Telecommunications, Storage, Endpoints, and support roles. Engineers are responsible for ensuring the planning, selection, build, and maintenance of effective technology solutions that meet defined and emerging business capability needs in a cost effective way.
  • Engineers partner with IT Security Analysts and Enterprise Architects to establish, understand, and adhere to technical and IT security standards. 
  • Engineers are involved in all aspects of the technology lifecycle to ensure that nonfunctional and functional requirements are adhered to in design and build so solutions are stable, secure, resilient, and perform well. 
  • Engineers ensure that systems are maintained and supported to run effectively in production.

 Requirements
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Networking, Computer/Software Engineering, or other technology related major
  • Graduation date of August 2022 or beyond
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 7 computer environments
  • Knowledge of any of the following:
  • BASH
  • KSH
  • PowerShell
  • Windows Server 2008/2012
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • IBM AIX
  • Cisco IOS
  • Ability to troubleshoot and research issues independently
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be a motivated team player

Security Analyst

Responsibilities
  • Security Analysts participate in projects and assessments on risk.
  • Security Analysts analyze and define security policies and standards.
  • Security Analysts monitor, alert and respond to security events.
  • Security Analysts perform computer forensic and investigative activities; and penetration and vulnerability testing. They also define and administer identity and access roles and workflows.

Requirements
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science and/or in a Business related field with a strong technology interest
  • Graduation date of August 2022 or beyond
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 and 2012
  • Knowledge of Linux/UNIX Operating Systems
  • Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory domain concepts
  • Understanding of networking concepts
  • Understanding of database concepts
  • Ability to create & maintain administrative scripts using various scripting languages
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and business audiences

Software Developers

Responsibilities
  •  Software Developers are responsible for building effective technology solutions that meet the defined business capabilities.
  • Software Developers partner with Engineering, IT Security and Enterprise Architecture to understand and adhere to established technical and IT security standards.
  • Software Developers are involved throughout the systems development life cycle to ensure the development of effective solutions that meet both functional and nonfunctional requirements so they are stable, secure, resilient, and perform well.
  • Software Developers support implementation activities in line with release and change management processes.

Requirements
  • Must be pursuing a degree in Computer Science and/or in a Business related field with a strong technology interest
  • Graduation date of August 2022 or beyond
  • Proficient with one of the following languages:
  • Java
  • .NET Framework
  • PHP
  • JavaScript
  • Proficient with Microsoft Windows 7 computer environments
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 2007/2010 programs
  • Able to troubleshoot and research issues independently
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Must be a motivated team player
  • Excellent communication skills
