Actuarial Analyst II - Life and Annuity Pricing

Sentry is seeking an analytical and results driven individual to join our Life & Annuity Actuarial Pricing team as an Actuarial Analyst in Stevens Point, WI. What You'll Do
As an Actuarial Analyst in our Life & Annuities Pricing group you will:
•   Prepare financial reports and complete analytical actuarial studies. 
•   Apply and recommend changes to actuarial techniques and procedures such as those used in evaluating loss and expense reserves, preparing rate filings, and establishing rating/pricing levels. 
•   Provide work direction to actuarial technicians or technical assistants.
•   Perform and coordinate research projects.
•   Summarize and analyze trend observations.
•   Analyze impact on profit and growth objectives and makes recommendations when appropriate.
•   Assist in setting priorities within the unit to meet deadlines and may assist with work direction or training to other
•   staff members.
•   Calculate premiums or reserves for products and may perform related analysis including collecting and analyzing data to determine the impacts of various components.
What it Takes
 •  Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science or related field required
•   1-3+ years related experience in an actuarial environment (life insurance or annuity pricing preferred)
•   Emphasis and/or experience in mathematics or actuarial science.
•   Completed 2 or more L&H parts or 2 or more P&C actuarial exams.
•   Actively pursuing actuarial exams.
•   Ability to maintain confidentiality and work under time constraints.
•   Strong background in statistics, economics, computers, finance business, or accounting.
•   Complex data analysis experience (data visualization analysis preferred)
•   Modeling software experience beneficial (GGY Axis, Prophet, Moses)
•   Proficient in Excel and Access (Visual Basic experience beneficial
