Job Description
Position Summary: Under the direction of the Compensation Manager, the Compensation Coordinator will be responsible for a wide scope of compensation activities. This includes developing and implementing compensation training and job aids, market benchmarking, annual salary review, job evaluation, compensation communications, preparing presentations of compensation materials, and special projects. Additionally, this position will work with incentive plans, as well ensure compliance with Federal and State employment and minimum wage laws.


Essential Functions
  • Participate in salary surveys and maintain the market pricing database. Conduct analysis of selected positions as needed, as well as monitor the company’s overall competitive position. Assist in the development and/or updates of pay structures; job grades, geographic tiers, and step rates for multiple business units.  25%
  • Conduct job evaluations. Work with HR Business partners and management to understand and define roles. Utilize tools and guidelines to evaluate jobs. Determine exemption status, market range, and job alignment.  15%
  • Review, update and maintain Job Descriptions, ensuring that they comply with internal policies and external regulations. Create new job codes in Workday. 10%
  • Responsible for Minimum Wage compliance and administration. 10%
  • Assist with Compensation-related communications and trainings. 10%
  • Assist with annual Merit Processes. 10%
  • Assist with Compensation-related data entry, maintenance and audits. 10%
  • Partner with the HR Business Partners regarding day-to-day Compensation requests. 5%
  • All other duties as assigned.  5%

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of office or Human Resources experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
  • Must stay current with applicable HR-related laws, rules and regulations for US and Canada.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be highly organized and able to analyze data.
  • Must be a positive team player and open to change in a dynamic work environment.
  • Workday experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Previous experience with compensation programs including wage ranges, bonuses, merit process, and incentives preferred, but not required.
