Jetzy is looking for an energetic, curious, and driven Investment & Finance Intern. The Investment & Finance Management Intern is responsible for overseeing all facets of the Financial and Investment Department including all opportunities, strategies, accounting policies & procedures, research, and data analytics. The Intern will lead the Investment & Finance team through assigning projects, goals, initiatives, daily operations – including, but not limited to, ad-hoc financial reports, generating financial reports, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank statement reconciliation, data entry, and various other assigned tasks and duties.
Through this position, the candidate will be involved in the core business development. The Intern will have exposure to various senior-level executives, build leadership skills, enhance their network, and build entrepreneurial skills. This position is an opportunity that will help you gain experience working in a fast-paced tech startup/social media company and learn hands-on experience in its operations. We have both full-time and remote/part-time assignment opportunities available. Success in this position requires exceptional analytical and people skills, with an ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
-Lead Investment & Finance Team
-Conduct performance appraisals in conjunction with Human Resources
-Implement and run financial reporting in efforts to help drive product allocation, marketing strategy, and sales functions
-Develop models & reports and monitor all aspects of the business
-Capture requirements from Leadership to define business metrics defining product strategy, business optimization, and issue resolution
-Support the processing of taxes for both the company and management staff
-Assist with monitoring accounting procedures to ensure compliance with regulations
-Analyze finances to determine risks and create forecasts
Requirements
-Pursuing a Master’s or MBA, preferred
-Excellent Leadership Skills
-Solid Knowledgebase of Accounting Principles, Practices, & Regulations
-Proficient in the Microsoft Suite (especially Excel), Google Suite, and finance software
-An analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude
-Excellent communication skills
-Attention to detail
-Organizational skills
-Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment and act with a sense of urgency
