Content News Producer

KWQC-TV6 is a dominant NBC affiliate, serving Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois as the Quad Cities’ #1 station for news, information and entertainment programming. JOB DESCRIPTION: KWQC-TV6 is looking for a person ready to start climbing the producing ladder in the broadcast industry.  A Content Producer would be responsible for looking for and build fresh, new local, national and international content into the newscast. This position would have a strong support system of anchors, another producer, a digital producer and someone from our management team to oversee late-breaking news and live opportunities for the show.
 
QUALIFICATIONS: A college degree in journalism, broadcasting or related field is preferred. Experience is a plus.  In lieu of a college degree, applicants with 2 or more years of experience in the broadcast or forecasting industry will be considered.
