Interdisciplinary Engineer, Architect, or Geologist

We’re seeking Recent Graduates or those expected to graduate in the next 9 months!
(The term “Recent Graduate” means a person who was awarded a degree within the past 2 years. Veterans who have completed a period of obligated service can be placed within 4 years of awarded degree.)


Position: Civil Engineer (Structural/Geotechnical/Hydraulic), Environmental Engineer, General Engineer, Architect, and Geologist

Work Schedule: Full-time

Grade: GS-05 through GS-09, with promotion potential up to GS-12.

Qualifications:
GS-5: Bachelor’s degree or higher in major field of study. Pay range: $35,782 – 48,666
GS-7: Bachelor’s degree or higher in major field of study with Superior Academic Achievement; 1 year of graduate-level education; or 1 year of specialized experience. Pay range: $44,323 – 60,282
GS-9: Master’s or equivalent degree in major field of study; or 1 year of specialized experience. Pay range: $54,217 – 73,731
*Pay will be based on such factors as your qualifications, education, experience, and training.

Duty Location: St. Louis, MO. However, telework is typical currently due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Competencies Required/Typical Duties of Position: Recent Graduates typically perform a variety of assignments selected to broaden skills and provide practical experience to prepare for progressively more complex assignments. Assignments at this level are designed to orient, train, and increase the incumbent's knowledge in the engineering and geological sciences, to problems concerned with testing a wide variety of systems and equipment. Full performance duties typically involve creating, exploring, evaluating, designing, and sharing solutions and the validity of their predicted performance to resolve problems, conditions, and issues.
