Acute Care General Surgery Physician Extender
We are a Southern California Acute Care Surgery group that practices at a single hospital. We have eight surgeons, one PA, and we are looking for one more Physician Extender. The candidate’s primary focus will be to support the inpatient general surgery service: hospital rounds, admissions, discharges, consults, for certified practitioners-surgical assisting, as well as the possibility of one outpatient clinic day per week. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and patient-care skills, absolute integrity, and be team, service, and mission-oriented.
The geographical area has a more affordable cost of living than coastal communities, but is within 1 hour from the Southern California Coast, downtown Los Angeles, and most all of the highlights of Southern California.
Graduation from a certified physician assistant program and board certification, or graduation from a certified nurse practitioner program and board certification. A Registered Nurse First Assistant certificate is preferred but not required. Experienced practitioners and new grads are all encouraged to apply.
The schedule is 3 or 4 shifts per week.
Salary and work schedule are negotiable based on experience and availability.
