Market Research Data Wrangler

Downs & St. Germain Research, a market research firm with national clients, seeks a high energy researcher to help lead its growth. Downs & St. Germain Research focuses on providing clients market research with strategic recommendations. Clients are largely tourism based, but also include Fortune 500 companies, non-profit associations, and government agencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Wrangler works with small team and data collection staff to execute market research projects. These projects can vary widely depending on the issue the research is designed to address. The Data Wrangler is responsible for collection, analysis, summary and presentation of market information. This process includes but is not limited to:

• Taking ownership for assigned client account(s) by managing multiple projects with minimal supervision
• Developing relationships and establishing credibility through accurate and timely communications
• Managing all phases of project management including survey programming, supervision of internal operations, field management, tabulations and analysis, and report preparation
• Ensuring the accurate and timely execution of research projects
• Contributing to proposals for potential clients

REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, or related field
• Understanding of statistics
• Exceptional problem solving skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, report writing, client management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical skills; ability to recognize a story within the numbers
• Self-motivation
• Ability to work well independently and on a team
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through and ability to handle multiple assignments and work well under pressure

Experience with the following software a plus:
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Adobe InDesign
• Adobe Acrobat
• SPSS

Remote-friendly workplace. Full time, salaried and part time, hourly positions are available. Wages will vary based on experience.
