The Villages Daily Sun, America's fastest growing daily newspaper, is seeking a wire and local copy editor who shares our passion for community journalism.

Candidates must possess strong news judgment and familiarity with a wide variety of subject matter. Advanced communication skills and the ability to make sound decisions under deadline pressure are a must. Mastery of grammar, spelling and Associated Press style are required, as is a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. A working knowledge of InDesign is also required. The work hours for the job are 3 p.m.-midnight.

This means that we place high value on hyper-local content that is reported and edited at the local level -not outsourced - for a rapidly expanding print product.
