E-commerce Site Merchandiser - Full Time

The Site Merchandiser is responsible for products on the website and strategically merchandising Borsheims.com to ensure a superior customer experience. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop and execute merchandise action plans. Participates in website project planning to assist in the creation of categories, gift guides, etc. Maintains and tests site navigation and search optimization. Maintains relationships with 3rd party vendors. Utilizes Google Analytics, Power BI, and merchandising metrics to better understand the customer journey and enhance user experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Support the visual appearance of the website and business initiatives to ensure a superior online customer experience. Ensure all product imagery and content on the site are updated and accurate. Responsible for strategically merchandising Borsheims.com to help ensure the site is customer engaging and optimized for performance.
· Responsible for product on site. Manages and uploads merchandise information to the E-commerce site. Manipulates merchandise information in spreadsheets. Ensures written descriptions for the products are accurate and include SEO optimization, verifies item detail, retail value, Borsheims price, etc.
· Partners with marketing and buyers to ensure appropriate product is represented. Contributes to conceptualizing monthly campaigns based on product assortment, marketing initiatives, promotions, and seasonal trends. Works with buying and marketing teams to showcase new products, promotions, vendor branded pages, etc. Creates, tests, and troubleshoots email templates and operational setups.
· Creates functional categories, vendor brand pages, SEO optimized content, etc. for Borsheims.com while maintaining Borsheims brand standards and overall usability. Employs best practices in UX design. Tests work in desktop, tablet, and mobile browsers for design and technical compatibility.
· Maintains site navigation by determining and managing product display order, color features, web categorization, and navigation to support key product investments. Creates virtual merchandise taxonomy. Reviews site weekly to ensure products are in the correct categories, promotions are functioning, links lead to the correct categories/pages, product attributes are accurate, redirects are correct, and product set up is accurate. Tests new features and functionality as needed.
· Works with manager to optimize site search results and faceted navigation for assigned categories for increased product sales. Identifies and fixes failed searches, creates and manages a library of synonyms for frequently misspelled products and keywords.
· Tests Borsheims.com daily, reports findings of ways to enhance the user experience. Creates and removes categories as needed based on merchandising & marketing strategies, merchant reporting, and web analytics.
· Works with 3rd party vendors for site search, merchandising product recommendations, personalization, and customer behavior.
· Works with manager to test and maintain all sitewide promotional activity, price groups, coupons, etc. Reviews monthly performance to ensure optimization of services and quickly resolve issues as they arise.
· Utilizes Google Analytics and 3rd party tools to provide analytics on category and navigation performance. Analyze product performance on-site and work to optimize product positioning and engagement.
· Analyzes, tracks, and reports online ordering traffic and performance, acting on information to improve all facets of the online ordering and user experience opportunities.
· Reviews and suggests changes to the e-commerce program. Continually evaluates online environment and competitive analysis.
· Performs other related duties as requested by management personnel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Ability to work assigned schedule on a regular basis.
· Ability to communicate with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
· Ability to see well enough to read small print, identify merchandise, and to read a computer screen and printout.
· Ability to hear and speak well enough to converse with others in person, via telephone and paging system.
· Dexterity to write in small print, handle small jewelry/gift items, operate a 10-key, operate a computer keyboard, and operate office equipment.
· Stamina to sit for over eight hours.
