SUMMARY

The Cost Accountant Intern will assist the finance team to develop projects cost predictions, reporting on financial performance, and maintaining an accurate cost structure to drive improved project performance. This role will touch on Project Management, Cost Management and Accounting and Finance providing great internship experience for students and candidates alike. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

•    Create and maintain projects profile in Plex
•    Track and update projects tooling expense
•    Track and update projects ED&D parts/design/testing expense
•    Monitor projects statues and update projects PSW timing
•  Compare tooling and ED&D spending with budget and forecast
•  Track projects engineer change and make profitability analysis;
•    Work with PMs and Sales to track projects tooling customer purchase orders
•  Prepare in project financial review with the project team 
•  Participate in continuous improvement activities that enhances the cost competition at the plant;
•   Assist in propagating and evaluating of MNA and plants monthly forecast and annual budget;
•   Other duties and projects as assigned

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

•    Obtained or working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Major
•  Prioritize and plan work activities efficiently to meet deadlines; work on multiple tasks & projects simultaneously
•  Ability to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events
•  Ability to work in team environment with varied departments and diverse personalities
•  Detail oriented 
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills;
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
