Content Marketing Intern (Spring 2022), St. Louis

FleishmanHillard is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time paid Content Marketing fall intern to join the Creative Content group at our global headquarters in St. Louis. The Creative Content group tells brand stories using social channels. Team members communicate news in 280 characters, convey a point of view through blog posts, explain complex ideas through compelling videos, present dense content through accessible and easy-to-understand infographics, mobilize brands to engage friends and followers on Facebook and package information for use by all news channels. Interns are an integral part of our team, giving participants real-life experience and skills that will help them succeed in their careers in the future.

Deadlines for Spring submissions: November 1. The internship is a paid, full-time position requiring a commitment of about five months from January 13 - May 26, 2022.


Responsibilities include


  • Support development of engaging, shareable content under tight deadlines
  • Social media research, monitoring and reporting
  • Support paid social media and content development teams in executing client campaigns
  • Draft social media content for client and/or internal programs
  • Research new and emerging platforms, and offering suggested uses for client campaigns
  • Deliver multiple assignments on deadline


Qualifications


  • Ideal candidates will have graduated with a bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year accredited college or university with a preferred major in journalism, marketing, communications, creative writing or related field
  • Prior internship experience at a public relations firm or corporate communications department where the role involved writing, content creation, social media, etc. 
  • Strong writing skills and experience in creating social media content across multiple channels
  • Experience with or ability to learn to use social media management software and other media monitoring tools
  • Experience with or ability to learn to use Google Analytics and other website monitoring tools
  • Ability to produce content quickly
  • Experience in writing scripts and shooting and editing graphics for social sharing
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas and information clearly
  • Detail-oriented, with outstanding organizational skills
  • Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team
  • Proactive, creative and independent thinker
  • Ability to work easily in both large team environments and independently  
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn from our industry-leading team of counselors
