Field Service Technician
- Perform field trips to end user installations of commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment.
- Start-up HVAC equipment to ensure proper equipment operation (verifying gas pressure, electrical component operation, safety checks, etc.).
- Verify good HVAC equipment installation practices and standards have been used.
- Provide equipment owner training to familiarize end users with equipment controls and maintenance requirements.
- Travel will be primarily within the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
- When in the office, assist customers via phone and email with support and troubleshooting questions.
- Assist with Service School to educate contractors on AbsolutAire equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiar with electrical and piping components and schematics.
- Familiarity with a variety of HVAC system components, such as fans and blowers, electric motors, heating and cooling coils, gas fired heating systems, energy recovery systems, air filtration, DDC controls, etc. a plus.
- Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical problem solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Competent basic computer skills.
- Enjoys working in a team atmosphere.
- Ability to prioritize.
- 0-2 years relevant experience.
