TEACHERS ARE NEEDED NOW. The Tucson Unified School District is calling all educators: We urgently need to fill teacher vacancies across all grade bands and content areas. Please take a moment to review our Teacher Jobs page and apply directly to any vacancies matching your employment preferences.
SUMMARY:
- Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students' performance in order to advance student achievement.
- Understand and appreciate diversity.
- Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- An active AZ teaching certificate matching the grade band and content area of the open position.
- Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
- Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE:
- Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
