Within the office of the Chief Growth Officer, the Strategy Associate will be an integrated team member of UIHC’s Growth Team and assists in the planning and implementation of business strategy projects, including utilizing team databases, resources, and analytical tools to complete directed analyses accurately and efficiently. This position will apply quantitative and qualitative analysis to clinical program strategy & business development opportunities and coordinate solution development with leaders from strategy and the rest of the organization. Representative projects will include market and competitive analysis, financial impact assessment, and clinical program strategic dashboard creation / metric tracking. 
 
  • Assist Growth Team in developing data-driven analytic plans, executing project analysis, communicating status updates with internal and external teams, and presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support transparency and improved performance in all areas of operations through development and monitoring of key performance measures.
  • Develop analysis of clinical operations / productivity, financial performance, and strategic success to ensure operational, financial, and strategic initiatives are being achieved.
  • Work cooperatively and strategically in a team environment with all levels of professional, technical, and administrative staff and to integrate resources.
  • Research diverse health-related topics and distill key messages in support of initiatives.
  • Understand organizational policies and procedures necessary to ensure appropriate decision-making protocols are followed.
  • Develops expertise in particular areas of business strategy work and assists the team in creating standardization toolkits for relevant domains (e.g., core frameworks, standard processes, standard analytics, etc.).
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize project work.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, Economics, or related degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 0 – 6 months of professional work experience in related field
  • Experience structuring and executing quantitative analysis required
  • Requires critical thinking skills, strong coordination / organizational skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal as well as written / verbal communication skills required
  • Proficiency in common software applications required (i.e., MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word)

  • Possess analytical capabilities such as creating calculated fields, managing large datasets, creating sophisticated excel models, understanding and building forecasting models
  • Experience in / understanding of key financial / economic concepts
  • Experience and/or certifications for common analytical platforms (e.g., Tableau)
