OUR TEAM:
Our Research and Development team develops novel technologies and products to improve the tools and workflow of researchers in academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical settings. We are an Assay Design team with an extensive history of launching easy-to-use kits that are used by scientists worldwide. Harnessing bioluminescence for novel assays has been an important component of our research while we focus on cell health, inflammation, cytokines and the inflammasome as areas of research.
 
YOUR ROLE:
You will be an essential part of the team carrying out biochemical experiments as well as cellular experiments on established cell models to interrogate, test and refine potential products. In addition, you will perform experiments for possible publications and internal marketing uses. Working with cell models will be an important part of the work and cell culture experience is desirable. This position will provide a great introduction to product development in a business setting as well as laboratory experience with a variety of techniques.
 
JOB OBJECTIVE: Principally involved with the execution of laboratory experiments involving cell culture models. Carry out and understand intent of experiments with direction. Training position. Receives daily supervision on routine work.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
 
1. Apply textbook knowledge of scientific principles to achieve technical objectives.
 
2. Work at bench.
 
3. Carry out cell culture experiments.
 
4. Prepare technical data.
 
5. Follow project plan with assistance.
 
6. Understand how work activity is tied to meeting a customer need.
 
7. Interact effectively with co-workers and team members.
 
8. Understand role in team environment.
 
9. Understands and complies with ethical, legal and regulatory requirements applicable to our business.
 
OCCASIONAL DUTIES:
 
1. Prepare PowerPoint presentations and present data.
 
2. Participate in team meetings and small group discussions
 
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:
 
1. A high school diploma and currently enrolled in an A.D./B.S. or graduate-level program in a scientific discipline.
 
2. Cell culture experience.
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
 
1. Ability to work at lab bench or fume hood for extended period of time.
 
2. Ability to wear protection gear (gloves, lab coat, safety glasses, etc.).
 
3. Ability to operate a computer.
