Equine Veterinary Assistant Rotating Internship


Whether you’re considering a career as an equine veterinary technician or veterinarian, this well‐rounded internship will provide you with the hands‐on experience necessary to further your career aspirations. This six‐month, full‐time, paid internship allows graduates to take the skills they’ve learned in the classroom and apply them in the real world. Assist with surgeries, monitor neo‐natal foals, support ambulatory doctors in the field; at Desert Pines Equine, you’ll see it all!

• State-of-the-art equipment, including digital x-ray and ultrasound and regenerative medicine infrastructure
• Primary service provider for South Point Arena and Equestrian Center with an onsite clinic

Well-rounded Experience
• Extensive orientation covering procedure setup, bloodwork basics, treatments & medications, equipment use, and neonatal care
• Structured rotation schedule between ambulatory, in the clinic, and after-hours emergencies
• Training supported by a team of experienced licensed veterinary technicians

• Ideal candidates are graduates of veterinary technology, equine science, animal science, and pre-veterinary programs
• This is a paid internship from January 17 through June 25, 2022 and requires a full-time commitment
