As our Account Executive, you will…

Be Accountable and Responsible

The Communications Account Executive is passionate about strategic communications, media relations and building strong relationships to strengthen a client’s visibility and awareness. You will handle the day-to-day account workload and execution of client communications objectives for multiple clients, including executing PR programs, social media support, planning, research and working directly with both clients and your teams to ensure the efficient and effective running of accounts. We encourage proactive thinking and looking at problems in new ways to come up with solutions nobody has considered before.   • Deliver high quality, responsive client service
  • Implement strategic communications programs and identify storytelling opportunities that produce superior results for clients
  • Provide direction and/or develop and edit high-quality written materials
  • Leverage traditional media as well as digital/emerging technology for PR program and influencer identification and outreach
  • Utilize media relations skills to engage and build relationships (online and offline) with journalists and influencers in support of garnering media coverage for clients
  • Develop and implement thought leadership plans, including securing speaking engagements, award opportunities and placing bylined articles
  • Account Management, client relationship building, and communications
  • Ability to present client recommendations and drive client conversations 
  • Ensure program deadlines are met while handling multiple projects 
  • Manage/monitor specific projects to ensure that deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Provide quality control, determine workflow and assignments
  • Attend industry events, meetings, conferences and training as appropriate
  • Ability to work additional hours as needed
  • Some light travel may be required 

These are the qualifications we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Communications, Business/Marketing, Journalism, English or Public Relations
  • 3+ years of professional experience with a STRONG PREFERENCE for agency background and experience in healthcare, hospital/health systems or public health industry 
  • Strong understanding of the PR landscape, and measurement and analytics
  • Skill set in the full range of PR strategies and tactics (including but not limited to press releases, media relations, collateral development, thought leadership, award submissions, speaking proposals, etc.)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, verbal, written, and over the phone
  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative, critical and strategic thinking with ability for articulating and defending ideas
  • Highly motivated/highly organized
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly to understand client business issues and relevance to programmatic work
  • An eye for “news” and knowledge of media: print, online and broadcast pitching/communications
  • Working knowledge of media monitoring databases and reporting and analytics tools
  • Ability to conduct/support market and competitive research in support of client programs
  • Calmness under pressure and ability to achieve tight deadlines
  • Ability to familiarize with current affairs and relate them to client situations
  • Proven ability to effectively plan, organize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Knowledge in integrating research and creative work concepts into account activity 
  • Team-oriented, collaborative attitude and willingness to pitch in where needed
